Blooming Desert

I think cactus are so beautiful when they bloom and it a

amazes me that a plant with so many painful spikes can have such
a beautiful flower. When the cactus are blooming it makes the boring desert look so colorful.

We spent this last weekend camping out at the Phoenix International Raceway for the Nascar races. We went to the Nationwide race and the Sprint Cup race. It was really awesome that Mark Martin(the old man of Nascar) won the Sprint Cup race. For the Sprint Cup race we rented the silly yellow headphones to listen to the race comintators while watching the cars go around, they were really helpful. No matter how many times we have been to the races when the call for the drivers to start their engines & they fire them up, I get goosbumps, I love the roar. My favorite driver is Denny Hamlin #11, he finished 6th, Jr's favorite is Dale Earnhardt Jr #88, he didn't finish so well but he lead alot of laps in the middle of the race so that was exciting.

Everyone needs alittle pampering!

Today I got to enjoy my 1st ever pedicure. I didn't know what I was missing out on & now Iam hooked. Liz & I went and enjoyed some girl time, we chatted away while our feet were massaged, lotioned, and painted oh so cute. Liz went with orange & a cool design on her big toe, I went with dark purple & a flower on my big toe. We had alot of fun and are totally going to have to do this more often. Thanks Liz!!

What happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas

We took a few days and headed to Vegas to meet up with Jrs sister & her family to celebrate our nieces 21st birthday. We stopped at Hoover Dam on our way and wanted to take the Dam tour but it was sold out, so we just walked around. We packed alot of activities into our short trip. We worked on our tans by the pool, we ate lots of good food & we went to see Mystre at Treasure Island, and we walked along the strip. Jr & I stayed a few extra days to celebrate our 9th anniversary & visit with my friend Jenny who lives in Vegas. We had a great time, not alot of sleep, but tons of fun.
