Arizona Dust Storm

We had another dust storm hit, this one wasn't as severe as the 1st. It is so crazy to see a wall of dust rolling along towards you. We have been lucky that we didn't get the high winds at our house, just a thick fog of dust. When the dust rolls in there is a silence in the world, the animals stop making noise and everything is dead calm, really eerie.The storm following behind me.

Sparklers

These are my new 4th of july shoes!!!
We showed our patriotic side in the pool. When celebrating the 4th in Arizona the pool is the only place to be.
This is what happens when you give 4 adults sparklers.









We had very low key 4th, hanging by the pool, bbq'd some hot dogs and played with sparklers.

It was a whopper

We had our 1st monsoon of the season and it was a whopper. The wind blew so hard it moved our round pen a few feet, blew in the doors of the greenhouse and toppled over one of our biggest saguaro cacti. The wind blew for about 10 min. then the rain came down in buckets for about 20 min. then it all goes away. Monsoons are crazy storms, they come and go very suddenly and leave behind a mess.My poor greenhouse had taken a beating.
So sad to lose a saguaro.
