Remodel

Last Wednesday my hubby got a wild hair and decided we should finish remodeling our house, so we started with the master bedroom. We riped out all the carpet and layed tile, we moved one wall out 4 feet and raised the ceiling, we added a door that will go out to a patio, and painted everything blue. It has been alot of work but it is finally done. Next we are turning our very large storage room into a 3rd bedroom, I will post pictures of that project when it is finished. After this round of remodel our house is officially finished. Yay! I forgot to take a picture before we started the bedroom, so you can see what it looks like now.. I did better on the 3rd bedroom, I actually took a before picture.

New Calling

I was released from being a Cub Scout leader today and got a new calling, I am the new beehive advisor. I have to admit that being called to Young Womens has been my dream calling for a long time. Iam so excited to start this new journey, but sad to leave my Cub Scouts, I have had alot of fun the last few years.

My thoughts

1) Trying to losing weight sucks, it is so much more enjoyable to gain weight.
2) If I lose 15 lbs I can shop for a whole new wardrobe!
3) Every piece of food I put in my mouth, my brain figures out how much exercise I have to do
to burn it off.
4) Losing weight is much easier when you are younger.
5) Food that is bad for you tastes better then food that is good for you.
6) I need to get a tan ( I live in AZ and my tummy is pasty white)
7) Looming swimsuit season is good motivation
8) Exercise is boring
9) I've gotten very creative with my cooking
10) Putting a skinny picture on the fridge, keeps the snacking down!

Sugar Free Chocolate Birthday Cake

I made this cake for my Moms birthday. I found the recipe in a splenda diabetic cookbook, and it turned out yummy. It was only the 2nd time I have made a cake from scatch and the 1st time I have made frosting from scratch. I will admit that it isn't as good as the real thing but hey when your trying to lose weight every little bit helps.

Sad

Well I guess I should post alittle something to acknowledge that the Cardinals sadly lost the Super Bowl. We really thought they had a chance and then It just slipped away. We were very sad and now it's time to move on and not dwell on it, There is always next season. This Cinderella story didn't have a happy ending.

Cardinals win NFC Championship

It is a dream come true, the Cardinals are headed to the Super Bowl. We went thru all the emotions during the game, happiness, stress, sadness, super joy. It was incredible to be there when the time on the clock expired and the Cardinals took the stage to recieve their trophy. No one in the stands wanted to leave, we hugged, cried, cheered and basically were all in shock. The media is calling this the Cinderella story of the season, we believed all along that it was possible. We have become really great friends with the people that sit next to us in the stands, we tailgate together, we talk thru out the year and we are always sad when the season ends. It is amazing how a friendship can form when you are together 10 Sundays a year and share a common love for the Cardinals. Go Cardinals, we believe.

Tailgating before the game

Yesterday the Arizona Cardinals made history and we were there to see it. The Cardinals have not won a home playoff game since 1947, until yesterday, they beat the Atlanta Falcons 30-24. It was so loud in the stadium that my ears are still ringing, my feet are sore because we didn't sit down the whole game, my throat hurts from yelling, but it was a lifetime memory and so worth it. Before the game we tailgated with our friends, we bbq hamburgers and played hillbilly golf. The excitment in the tailgating area was awesome, I only saw a few Falcons fans. After the game we were celebrating in the stands and the coach ran around the stadium giving high 5's to the fans, I leaned over the rail and he game me a high 5, it was so cool. Of course I was wishing it was Larry!!! We are hoping that it all works out and we get another game to go to and who knows maybe we will be traveling to Florida for the superbowl.
