Happy Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, almost every year we have a pumpkin carving party with family and friends. Jr & I dressed up this year as Danny & Sandy from Grease. I think Jr makes a pretty good John Travolta.The cutest little giraffe ever.

Great day

I woke up to the sounds of falling rain, I got to enjoy this rainbow during breakfast, I finally get to wear my fall/winter clothes, I'm back to fitting into my favorite pair of jeans after 2 years, I got to go to book club & chat with my friends, I put up my Halloween decorations, we went out to dinner, & I chilled on the couch watching Grease. Busy but wonderful day, see if tomorrow can top today.

Yeah I'm 1

On Oct. 2nd Jonathan turned 1. Cw & Amy had a BBQ with friends and family to celebrate. Amy made Jonathan his very own cake and he wasn't to sure about it, he stuck his finger in the icing and then flung his hand to get it off. He never did really take a bite of his cake.

What does it look like is happening in this photo? A tornado in Arizona? We stood in our yard (until the hail started coming down) and watched this amazing storm.
We got lots of hail, I have never personally seen hail this big.
The sky looked so amazing.
We got lucky that we weren't in the direct path, but we got strong winds, tons of rain & a lot of hail. I would call this a mother nature temper tantrum!!!

We're being watched

This morning as I was leaving to run errands I saw 4 Harris hawks sitting the trees watching me. I was only able to get 2 in the picture at a time, this one is my favorite, he is looking right at me. Off to the left you can see a female sitting on a nest in the Saguaro. Wildlife is so cool.

Not cool

Kiesha has found a new favorite past time, much to our dismay. The other day she caught sight of a little lizard running into the garden, she went on the attack. She didn't care how many plants she ruined in pursuit of the lizard. She spent everyday stalking the lizard (who Iam pretty sure is no longer hiding in the garden) she trampled all the plants but never found the lizard. She then moved onto another location in the yard where she either heard or saw a lizard. She has become obsessed with chasing lizards, she will sit and stare at a plant for hours just waiting for the lizard to come out. She did actually catch one and brought it to the back door to show us her prize. She really is so cute when she is on the hunt but I just wish she wouldn't destroy the plants in the pursuit.

Random

You can take the girl out of Idaho, but you can't take Idaho out of the girl. Last nights Boise State vs. Virginia Tech game was very stressful, so up and down all game, one minute winning then the next down again, but it only matters who is leading when time runs out. I have to make one comment, I didn't like their new uniforms, whoever picked them out should be fired.
