A little trip

This years Las Vegas bowl had Boise State playing University of Utah. They are the 2 favorite teams in this household so off to Vegas we go. Vegas had 5 straight days of rain and lucky us we leave sunny Scottsdale for rain and lots of it. Thankfully shortly before game time the rain stopped & we could watch the game without being drenched. Boise State won the game 26-3 great game for me the Boise State fan but I do wish Utah played better & made it more exciting.The night before the game there was a pep rally held on Freemont Street. The cheerleaders cheered, the bands played, the mascots made fools of themselves & the fans taunted each other. We had a great time.

We braved the rain and took a walk down the strip to the wax museum. Gotta love seeing all the famous "people". Some of them really creeped me out, they seem so real like they could reach out and grab ya or start talking to ya.

On our way home we stopped at the new bridge over the Colorado River. It's was so cool to get to walk across it and look down at the Hoover Dam. On our trips to Vegas over the years we have watched the progress of building the bridge and to see it finished was great. It will make getting to Vegas so much easier by not having to fight traffic crossing the Dam. If you aren't paying attention you will drive across it and not realize that you drove 880 ft. above the river.

Great reason to take a moment

The other night I took a moment to sit on the patio and enjoy the sunset. Arizona is known for amazing sunsets and I love to just sit and watch the sky change colors and think about my day. I am so grateful for the beauty around me.

Fall comes to Arizona

I love fall, it is my favorite season. Living in Arizona fall doesn't usually mean any color changing or crisp coolness. This year was different, we have had cool beautiful weather, the leaves on a few trees changed color. We have been enjoying every moment of it.

Kick off to Christmas

We attended the annual Casa Grande light parade, in my opinion this year was one of the best. It was a beautiful warm evening, didn't even need my jacket but it was easier to wear it rather than carry it around. Casa Grande has some amazing school marching bands, the kids were all lit up with Christmas lights playing Christmas music. It was a really fun evening spent with family kicking off another holiday season.

So much to be thankful for

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had dinner at my brothers house and when we arrived we were greeted by my little brother who drove with his family from Texas to surprise us all. It was so awesome for all of us to be together, we even had both my Grandmas here. The only problem with Thanksgiving is not having enough room in your stomach for all the good food. It was so wonderful to be with family and celebrate all we have to be thankful for.

Take that

This is our remedy for the pesky critters that terrorize our veggie garden. Lets see them eat my tomatoes now!!!!! So excited to grow more veggies, now I just need to figure out how to grow in a greenhouse in Arizona.
