Alessandra 1st week

Alessandra is a very good baby, she eats, sleeps & goes potty. Her 1st Dr. visit she weighed 9lbs 8 1/2oz. and almost grew a 1/2 in. She makes the funniest faces and always looks so serious. 

 

Meeting cousin Charlie for the 1st time.  Charlie was born 3 days before Alessandra he weighed 7lbs 1oz.

It's a Girl!!!!!!

We are so excited to announce the arrival of Alessandra Matilda. April 15th 11:30 am 9lbs 8 oz, 21 in.

 She took her time getting here but she is totally worth the wait. Her story is anything but what we anticipated, I was 2 weeks over due and going to be induced on Sunday April 15th. At 12:15 am I woke up with contractions and things moved really fast. We got to the birth center and I was progressing fast we thought she would be there quick but she had a different idea. At 10 am my Dr. told us that she wasn't progressing with each push and I had been at it for 3 hrs. so we needed to head to the hospital and get her out. So my dream of a natural delivery wasn't going to happen. We got to the hospital and at 11:30 am Alessandra was delivered by c-section. When they pulled her out and we saw her chunky thighs, chubby cheeks and round head we understood why she didn't come on her own but when they told us how much she weighed we really understood. I am still in shock that I had a 9lb 8oz baby inside me. She is healthy, beautiful and we are head over heels in love with her.

12 Years

12 years ago today I married my best friend, It has been a rocky road but we have navigated it together. We are very anxiously waiting for the arrival of our anniversary present who is a week late, thought maybe it wanted to arrive on our anniversary.

Today is also Easter, we had some family in town for the holiday so we did a little Easter egg hunt, played some games and ate a yummy dinner.
Hopefully my next post will be the announcement of our little miracle baby.

Due date

Today marks 40 weeks, I really didn't think I would make it to my due date. I guess the baby didn't want to be born on April Fools Day. The baby's favorite thing to do is push up on my rib cage and make it hard for me to breath. I have been really lucky that the baby doesn't keep me up at night. We are very anxious and excited to meet the little person, hopefully it will decide to come out in the next couple days.

38 weeks

Wow my belly has really popped out the last couple of weeks.

Spring Training

Jr's cousin's family came to town, so we went to some Spring Training games. They picked the most perfect week to come visit, the weather was awesome.

I think the baby is a fan!!!

I am 36 weeks pregnant and sporting my Denny Hamlin shirt for the picture because he won yesterday.This was the baby's 2nd Nascar race so far.
