Wii Mario Kart

We got together to celebrate my Dads birthday, we pulled out the Wii and played Mario Kart. We had so much fun racing each other, I have to admit Iam not very good at the game, my car was all over the road, good thing I don't drive like that in real life!!!!! I think the Wii is amazing I love that it gets you up and involved instead of just sitting and moving your fingers.

Memorial Day

I had the wonderful opportunity to go with the cub scouts to the National Memorial Cemetary to put a flag on the 50,000 graves of military service men and women.

It was an awesome experience to stand among the rows of flags, to be able to pay tribute to the men and women who served our country.

Where am I????

I went to bed the other night with the fans going and the wonderful air conditioning blowing on me while the 109 degree weather cooked outside. I woke up and went for my morning walk wearing sweats and shivering because over night we went from 109 to 59 degrees. I had to wonder if I woke up in a different state. It feels like I live in Seattle or San Fran. Being an Arizonian for the past 10 years Once we get past a certain day we retire our long pants and sweatshirts and bring out the shorts and t shirts, but this year everyday has been a surprise. I m not complaining because a few weeks of nice weather is a blessing but it makes me worry that when the heat hits for good it will last forever. Are we in for our worst summer ever or are things changing in Arizona?

Blowing out the candles

My Sis in law was so nice to me and didn't put 30 candles on my cake for me to blow out, she just bought a #3 and #0 and I

managed to blow them both out.

Oh! how my garden grows

I have never grown bell peppers before, and this baby was my 1st veggie to appear. I didn't even think that the plant was big enough to grow a pepper, but little did I know.

I was so excited to go outside the other morning and pick my 1st strawberry. I took it in and cut it up and put it on my cereal. It was so yummy!!!

I have had so much fun so far with my garden, and the luckiest part is that I have only pulled a few weeds.

Oh Happy Day

Today is a great day. After 8 years of dealing with slow dial up internet, I have joined the high speed world. I can't begin to tell you how completely wonderful it is to be able to surf the internet in minutes instead of hours. Now I will be able to put more pictures on my blog.

The Big 3-0

So today is my 30th birthday and to tell the truth it is kinda depressing. Iam no longer in my 20's. It's funny that when we were 19, turning 20 was awesome, but changing from telling people I'm 29 to saying 30, or going from 39 to 40 and so on is really traumatizing. I dont feel 30 and I get told all the time I don't look 30 so that is a bonus. Last night we went out to dinner with my parents, CW & Amy , JR's parents and his sister. They brought balloons so everyone in the resturant would know that it was my birthday, And to top it all off they sang happy birthday to me nice and loud. Tonight we are going to go watch bull riding and have a cowboy dinner. Not a bad way to spend the Big 3-0!!!!
