Tropical Heat Wave

My sis in law Erin posted on her blog about the weather being below zero in Chicago, so had to post a comment about our weather in Arizona. Yesterday and today we have been in the low 60's. Both days I wore a t-shirt and jeans and I only needed a light jacket in the evening. I know that everyone thinks that the Arizona summers are killer, but I would rather be hot then freezing to death!!!!!

New England Patriots

I married a very long time New England Patriots fan. So we have been celebrating their 16and 0 season and hoping for them to be in the super bowl. Everyday for the last week or so he has worn something Patriots. Today he has on his favorite Tom Brady Jersey. Hopefully it brings them luck against the Jaguars. He has a old school Patriots coat that he wore in Jr high, he got it out of the closet and wow it fits me, so I have been wearing it all week. It would be a really sad shame for them to have a perfect season and to lose in the 2nd round of the playoffs. GO PATRIOTS!!!!

Not a losing season

Our season of home team football has ended, and it ended on a good note with 2 wins at home. The Cardinals ended up 8 and 8. maybe next year we won't have any quarterback conflict and injuries and we can have a winning season and maybe even visit the playoffs. The best note to end the year on is Larry "the butt" Fitzgerald getting voted to the probowl in Hawaii. Ya Larry.

New Porch

Our house has been finished for quite awhile, but we never got to finishing the back porch. So this week our project was to finish the back porch. It turned out really good, and alot bigger then originally thought. We even got the Christmas lights hung up around it, just in time for Christmas.

Rain

In the last week we have had 3 days of rain. I'm not much of a fan, but it totally beats having to shovel snow. Rain is great but the desert is not very good at absorbing moisture so it runs in rivers. I can really understand how a river could make the Grand Canyon. When it really rains here it changes the lay of the land. This picture is our road when the wash over flowed it's banks. I think the funniest thing is that most people in Arizona don't know how to drive in the rain, when you come to a roaring wash don't try to drive thru it!!!! During the rain storm it did something to our underground power, so we spent 2 days digging up the old lines and putting in new ones. We had to dig 160 feet of trench, thank goodness for our tractor. There is always something to fix on the ranch.
Iam very greatful for the moisture, we are in need of it and I can't complain, I could be digging out of several feet of snow. Gotta love Arizona Winters!!!

Cardinals Beat the Browns

Sunday was a game that kept us standing and cheering till the very last second. The Cardinals were able to pull off the win,even though they almost blew it. Larry the "Butt" Fitzgerald was not able to play due to an injury. I lost my voise cheering so much. We had alot of fun.

Arizona Cardinal Football Fans

We have had season tickets to the Cardinals for 4 years. We love going to the games. Before I met JR I didn't have a clue about football, he has patiently taught me everything I need to know. If you ask anyone in my family they will tell you that I go to look at Larry Fitzgeralds butt!!! I will explain. When we go to the games I'm surrounded by guys (only female on the row) and they are always checking out the cheerleaders, so not to be left out I picked a guy to check out. Well, all you see of the players on the side line in their butts, so I picked the best butt. Not only does Larry have a great butt he is also the best player, in my opinion. So I wear a #11 jersey to support the butt!!!!
